What to bring to a blouse fitting.

A useful fitting considers the blouse, saree, support, movement and occasion together. Bring these details so decisions can be made clearly the first time.

  • Fit and movement checked
  • Focused references welcome
  • Event date confirmed

Fitting checklist

Prepare the whole look, not only the measurements.

You may not need every item for every blouse. Use this list to avoid the details that most often require a second conversation.

  1. Bring the saree or outfit you will wear

The saree weight, border, drape and waist position affect how a blouse neckline, length and back are judged. If the blouse belongs to a lehenga or another outfit, bring the matching piece so the proportions can be checked together.

  2. Wear or bring your planned innerwear

Support and fit can change with different innerwear. Wear the style you expect to use for the event, or bring it privately with you, especially for structured, padded, backless or deep-neck designs.

  3. Save a small set of reference images

Two or three clear references are more useful than a large mood board. Mark what you like—the neckline, sleeve, back or finish—and what you do not. We interpret references for your fabric, measurements and comfort rather than promising an exact copy.

  4. Bring a blouse that already fits well

An existing blouse can help explain your preferred ease, shoulder position, length and coverage. It is a useful reference, not a replacement for taking the measurements required for the new design.

  5. Share the event date and how you will style it

Tell us the function date, jewellery plan and whether the blouse will be worn for long hours or active movement. For a complete outfit fitting, bring the footwear or heel height you expect to wear.

  6. Explain comfort and coverage clearly

Say how deep you are comfortable wearing the front and back, whether you prefer sleeves, and where garments usually feel tight or loose. A useful fitting is a conversation; you do not need to accept a detail that feels wrong for you.

  7. Move during the fitting

Raise your arms, sit, turn and take a few natural steps. A blouse should be assessed in movement as well as in the mirror. Tell the fitter immediately about pulling, gaping, slipping or restricted movement.

  8. Leave with the next step confirmed

Before the fitting ends, confirm any changes, the next fitting or collection date and whether you need to bring anything else. Price and timing should be agreed before new work begins.
