Privacy Policy
Your measurements stay yours.
We need some personal details, including your body measurements, to make clothes that fit. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how you can control it.
Who is responsible
Stitch Bliss, UG-30, Atlanta Shopper, near Reliance Market, Vesu, Surat, Gujarat, 395007, decides how your personal data is used and is the “Data Fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This policy covers stitchbliss.in, our studio and our WhatsApp, phone and email conversations with you.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and delivery address.
- Sign-in details: your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form), or basic profile details from Google or Truecaller if you sign in with them.
- Fit details: body measurements, fit notes, and photos or reference images you upload or share.
- Orders: inquiries, quotes, orders, appointments, rentals, reviews and our messages with you.
- Payments: amounts, payment status and references such as UPI transaction numbers. Card details are handled only by the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Rentals: the photo ID we check when you collect a rental outfit.
- Device and usage: basic technical data like browser type, pages visited and error logs, and notification settings if you turn on alerts.
Why we use it
- To quote for, make, alter, deliver and support your order or rental.
- To take payments, process refunds and keep accounts as tax law requires.
- To send updates about your order, appointment or account by email, SMS, WhatsApp or notification.
- To keep your measurements on file so future orders fit without measuring again.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors find us and to measure our ads.
We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Your consent
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you create an account, send an inquiry, place an order or accept analytics cookies, or where the law allows it without consent (for example, to keep tax records). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, and we may not be able to complete an order without the details it needs.
How long we keep it
- Account and measurements: while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Orders, payments and invoices: for as long as tax and accounting laws require, currently up to 8 years.
- Rental ID checks: only for the rental and until the deposit is settled.
- Technical logs: usually no longer than 90 days.
How we protect it
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the admin system needs a one-time email code and is limited to our team. Uploaded photos are stored under long, unguessable links and are never listed publicly, and we take daily backups. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Where your data is stored
Our servers and some of the services above may be located outside India. We use them only as Indian law allows, and they must protect your data to the standard set out in this policy.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update your data (much of it you can edit yourself in your account);
- ask us to delete your data, except records we must keep by law;
- withdraw your consent;
- name another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to; and
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Children
Our site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. When we make clothes for a child, a parent or guardian places the order and gives the measurements.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
Contact and grievances
If you have a question or a complaint about an order, a payment, a refund or your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
