Maroon and Gold in Balance

Maroon and Gold in Balance

Fine floral embroidery, scalloped borders and a sweeping drape shape this maroon occasion ensemble.

The cover image is an editorial visualization regenerated from the original garment photograph. The archive photographs below show the real Stitch Bliss piece.

Gold used as a line

The embroidery is fine rather than dense. Small gold flowers and vines travel across the maroon surface, while the neckline, sleeve edge and skirt panels use gold trim to define the structure. The result is ornate without losing the base colour.

A deliberate interruption

An embellished vertical insert breaks the skirt near the front, adding a brighter column among the softer floral work. Scalloped edging repeats at the hem, turning construction lines into decoration.

The finishing sweep

A matching maroon drape falls from the shoulder and extends beside the skirt. Its fringed gold edge creates movement and completes the asymmetry of the look. The original caption positioned the ensemble for weddings and festivals; its balance of colour, embroidery and drape explains why.
