Magenta and Gold: A South Indian Gown

Chevron brocade, puff sleeves and a pleated silk sweep translate South Indian colour into a richly constructed gown.
The cover image is an editorial visualization regenerated from the original garment photograph. The archive photographs below show the Stitch Bliss source post.
Chevron lines shape the bodice
Alternating brocade and plain magenta bands step downward in sharp chevrons, each edge picked out with fine gold braid.

Tradition carried in silk
Puff sleeves meet woven lower panels, while the deeply pleated skirt shifts between magenta and antique gold as the light changes.

The back earns its own view
A large open back, narrow tie and clustered cone tassels finish the gown with movement. Pleated gold rosettes echo the luminous skirt below.
