Lavender in Bloom: Organza Meets Satin

Floral embroidered organza and satin silk come together in a lavender party gown, with a full skirt and a bow at the back.
Lavender can feel quiet and expressive at the same time. In this gown, the colour moves between the textured surface of floral embroidery and the broad sheen of a full skirt. The result is a party silhouette with a gentle palette and plenty of presence.
Our January 2023 caption identifies the materials as floral embroidered organza and satin silk, and credits the design to @tanya.r6579. The original outdoor photographs show how those surfaces respond differently to the light.

Flowers at the bodice
Floral embroidery gives the upper half its detail. Across the bodice and sleeves, the flowers introduce texture without moving away from the lavender colour story. The sheer portions of the sleeves allow the embroidery to remain visible against a lighter background.
At the waist, a decorative line marks the transition into the skirt. It provides a small point of definition before the fabric opens out into much broader folds.

Letting the skirt take space
The satin skirt has a smooth, reflective surface that contrasts with the embroidery above. In the seated photograph, its fullness spreads out naturally, making the shape and the way the light falls across it easy to see.
The back view adds another detail: a bow with long ties falling over the skirt. It carries the softness of the design around the garment, giving the back its own finishing point.

A study in one colour
This gown shows how a single colour can support several textures. Embroidery adds pattern, sheer fabric adds delicacy, and satin brings a broader play of light. The story is in their relationship.
