Rental policy
Simple, fair terms so renting a festive outfit from Stitch Bliss is easy and worry-free. These terms form part of every rental booking.
Booking & rental period
- A rental is confirmed only once the security deposit is paid and the outfit is reserved for your dates.
- The standard rental period is up to 3 days (pickup day, event day, and return the following day). Longer periods can be arranged in advance for an additional charge.
- Availability is limited and works first-come, first-served during the festive season, so please enquire early.
Security deposit
- Every rental requires a refundable security deposit, quoted per outfit alongside the rent.
- The full deposit is refunded after the outfit is returned on time and inspected as undamaged.
- Any deductions for damage, staining or late return are explained clearly before they are applied.
Identification
- A valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence or passport) is required at pickup and is held on record for the rental duration.
- The outfit may only be worn by the person named on the booking; it may not be sub-let or passed on.
Fit & alterations
- Minor, reversible adjustments such as pinning, tucking and safety-pinning are welcome.
- Permanent alterations — cutting, re-stitching, dyeing or trimming — are not allowed and will be treated as damage.
- Tell us your measurements when you enquire so we can suggest the best-fitting pieces.
Care & cleaning
- Professional cleaning is handled by us and is included — please do not wash, dry-clean or iron the outfit yourself.
- Please keep the outfit away from perfume stains, food, oil and makeup as far as possible, and store it on a hanger.
Damage, staining & loss
- Normal, light wear from careful use is expected and not charged.
- Repairable damage or stains are charged at actual cleaning/repair cost, deducted from the deposit.
- Heavy damage or loss of the outfit is charged up to the full replacement value of the piece.
Cancellation & reschedule
- Reschedule requests made at least 48 hours before pickup are accommodated subject to availability.
- Cancellations made well in advance are eligible for a deposit refund; last-minute cancellations may retain part of the deposit to cover the reserved dates.
Late returns
- Outfits are due back by the agreed return time so they are ready for the next booking.
- A per-day late fee applies to overdue returns and is deducted from the deposit.
